Youth Advisor
Men’s Project — Youth Advisory Group
The Men’s Project was launched in 2017 and is an initiative of Jesuit Social Services to provide leadership on the reduction of violence and other harmful behaviours prevalent among boys and men and builds approaches to improve wellbeing and keep families and communities safe.
Eligibility
Identify as female, male, non-binary, or gender diverse
Ages 14 – 17
What
As part of The Men’s Project Youth Advisory Group, you will:
Share your ideas, experiences and contributions with the group including facilitators from The Men’s Project
Connect with other like-minded young people
Take part in group discussions and potentially have opportunities for wider speaking engagements
Have opportunities to learn and grow your skills
Shape The Men’s Project content and programming that is delivered to a variety of audiences with the voices of young people in mind
Time commitment
Attend online meetings every 6 weeks for one year. Meetings are held on Tuesdays from 5:00pm –6:30pm AEST.
Renumeration
$75 voucher per online meeting (1.5 hours).

Project Grant
Healthy Equal Youth (HEY) Grants
Healthy Equal Youth (HEY) is a partnership between Youth Affairs Council Victoria (YACVic) and the Victorian Government established to deliver place-based support, services and opportunities for LGBTQIA+ young people.
What
You can apply for up to $10,000 for your project or initiative through two categories:
Youth-Led Projects: For LGBTIQA+ young people with an idea for a project that supports their LGBTIQA+ peers to feel proud of their identity and more connected to community. To apply, you and the people leading your project must be under 25 (but you can get people older than 25 to proofread and help you with your application).
Social Connectedness Projects: For organisations and services to expand or improve their support for LGBTIQA+ young people, and for targeted projects for LGBTIQA+ young people that will improve their mental health and wellbeing. These projects must give LGBTIQA+ young people opportunities to meaningfully participate and influence decisions throughout the project.

Upskilling Program
Strengthening Student Voice in Schools: Peer Support Programs
The goal of the project is to make existing peer support programs in schools more accessible and inclusive for disabled young people, especially with multicultural backgrounds. We hope that those peer support programs then increase student voice, agency and leadership in schools.
Eligibility
Ages 12 – 17
Live in Victoria
Are a disabled person. You do not need a diagnosis.
multicultural, migrant or refugee backgrounds
What
In the workshops you will be:
Reviewing real peer support programs
Thinking about better ways to support students
Sharing what you think needs to change
Working with organisations that run programs to understand what is possible and practical
Work together to turn ideas into real changes in those peer support programs.
Time commitment
Attend 8x 2-hour co-design workshops.
Renumeration
$100 per workshop (2 hours).

Youth Advisor
RACT Youth Advisory Group (YAG)
RACT and YNOT have been working together to hear young people's experiences, concerns and ideas about road safety and learning to drive.
Eligibility
Ages 14-20
Living in Tasmania
What
As YAG member, you will:
Share your ideas and give honest feedback on new ideas, programs and resources before they are finished.
Contribute to the design of campaigns, educational resources and other initiatives for young people.
Suggest the best ways to share important information so it is clear, relevant and engaging.
Time commitment
Four 2-hour meetings, held between August 2026 and May 2027.
Renumeration
$70 per meeting (2 hours).

Project Grant
Believers Grant
Believers is for the people, programs, and projects that are unleashing creativity in young people. We offer $5k to $25k grants.
Eligibility
Individuals, groups, organisations established in Australia and/or New Zealand
Projects that will take place in Australia and/or New Zealand
Projects that will be completed in 12-months
Projects whose core focus is primarily creative outcomes
Organisations with less than $1.5M in revenue
What
We're primarily looking for people and projects that unleash young people's creativity at scale.
We don't want to be prescriptive; we want to back wild ideas that explore the intersections of creativity, technology, science, media, storytelling, culture and arts. We have a high appetite for risk, and we're on the hunt for great people doing good work that creates magic.
The most prescriptive we'll be is that we are looking to fund projects going from 0-1 (just starting out) or 1-10 (scaling up or iterating and experimenting but with solid momentum and some wins under the belt so far).
